- 500g thinly sliced beef, cut into 5㎝ wide slices
- ½ onion, cut into thinly slice
- 4 bowl cooked rice
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 3½ tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and beef. When it achieves an even brown color, add the sugar, mirin, sake, and soy sauce and continue frying. Simmer under a high heat until the sauce becomes glossy.
- Serve the cooked rice in a bowl, place the beef.

I don’t really enjoy eating beef maybe because my mother didn’t not like this too and didn’t introduce it to us when we were still youngsters. But my partner now is a big beef fan so I’m incorporating beef to some of our dishes. Thanks for sharing a nice beef recipe. I’ll try this for my partner.
