- 1 tray of tofu (hard)
- 120g of pork sirloin slice
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 tbsp of Japanese sake
- salt (preference)
- Sesame Dressing:
- 3 tbsp of sesame paste
- 1 tsp of vinegar
- 2 tsp of soy sauce
- ⅓ tsp of sugar
- 1½ tbsp of water
- ½ tbsp of sesame chili oil
- ½ tsp of salt
- 1 pepper
- First we need to drain the water from the tofu and cut tofu into 3 cm. (note: when draining the tofu, wrap the tofu into a paper towel and let it soak up as much water as it can. Then wrap again using another paper towel and put it in the microwave oven for about 30 seconds. There are other ways to drain water from tofu, this is the way that I use.)
- Now we need to cut our pork to 3 ~ 4cm and add them to a container. When your are done cutting your pork, add you Japanese sake, salt, and put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes. When that’s done take it out and let it set.
- Next we need to cut our cucumber into stick shape about 4cm.
- We are almost done, add everything into a small dish, including your cut cucumbers. Now dress your salad with the fresh sesame dressing that you just made.
Yum! I am definiately going to try this salad!
