- 450g of fresh salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of mirin
- 2 tsp of Japanese sake
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 1 cup of daikon (peeled and grated)
- Now that we have our ingredients ready let’s get started with our cooking.
- First we need to place our salmon fillets in a large baking pan. Now combine your soy sauce, mirin and sake in a small bowl and pour it over the salmon pieces to marinate for about 10 minutes. When the 10 minutes is up, drain the salmon and save the marinade.
- Next, heat the boiler and brush the rack lightly with the oil. Then place the fish on the rack with the skin side facing upwards, and brush it lightly with the saved marinade sauce. Grill your salmon until it’s nicely light browned and crispy. (4 minutes should be okay).
- Now we need to turn our salmon over and brush that side with the marinade sauce. Now grill this for about 4 minutes until it’s lightly browned and crispy.
- We are almost done here; transfer your salmon to your plate. With your left over marinated sauce, sprinkle some over your salmon. Next we need to add our grated daikon next to your salmon.
