- 2 chicken thighs
- ½ soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- starch
- oil for deep-frying
- For Long green onion Sauce
- ½ long green onion
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red chili
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1½ tbsp sugar
- Cut the chicken into bite size, and marinate in the soy sauce and sake.
- Cut the long green onion into mince, heat the oil in a frying pan, and stir-fry the long green onion and red chili, and add the rest of the ingredients, and stir- fry, turn off the heat.
- Heat the oil to 170℃, cover the chicken completely with starch, deep- fry the chicken turning constantly until it is cooked throughout.
- Drain the oil, place on a serve dish and pour the long green onion sauce over the top.
My children loves fried chicken but they usually have it dipped in gravy sauce. I’ll try this Long Green Onion Sauce and see if they’ll like it. Thanks as always for all the great recipes.
