- 300g beef block
- coarse salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 knob garlic
- ½ onion
- ⅓ carrot
- thyme
- 1 knob horseradish
- 1 bunch watercress
- First we need to rub the coarse salt and pepper to beef and let sit for 10 min. Then cut the onion and carrot into thinly slice.
- Now heat the oil in a thick heavy pot, bake the beef until the whole outside is brown. Next add the crushed garlic, onion, carrot, and thyme. Then steam bake with cover lid, over a low heat. Until moisture comes out from vegetables and it becomes an amber color and it roast so that may become medium rare.
- When this is done take out the beef from pot and fry the vegetables more. Make sure to add enough water to the pot and simmer for about 6-7 min. (remove the garlic from the pot).
- While waiting for that to be done grind the horseradish, wash the watercress and drain.
- We are almost done here, next slice the roast beef and arrange it on a dish. Now for the finishing, garnish with watercress, horseradish and gravy sauce.
