- 150g thinly sliced beef
- 1 burdock
- 100g lotus root
- 1 pack devil’s tongue (noodle type)
- 3 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- vegetable oil
- Scrape off the skin of the burdock, cut into sasagaki shavings and rinse in the water and drain. Cut the lotus into thinly slice. Cut the devil’s tongue into 2㎝ lengths pieces. Cut the beef into small bite size pieces.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the beef briefly and take off it from frying pan. Set aside. Add the oil into a same frying pan and over a medium heat, add the burdock and fry until little bit soft.
- Add the lotus and devil’s tongue and fry. Add the beef and sake, sugar, soy sauce and fry until liquid is gone.
Add cornstarch ixture to pan juices; cook and stir until mixture bOils and thickens lightly. Wine Cellar
I love trying to cook new things. I have never heard of Fried-Simmer with Beef and Burdock, but I’m sure it’s good. I might have to try this recipe sometime, because it really looks good.
