- 2 cup rice
- 360 cc dashi stock
- 20g hijiki, ( wash with cold water and soak in a water for 5-10 min and drain. Cut into 3-4㎝ lengths pieces.
- 1 deep fried tofu, abura-age
- ½ carrot
- 1½ tbsp sake
- 1½ tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Wash the rice and drain for 30 min before cooking and transfer the rice cooker and add the dashi stock. Set aside.
- Cut the carrot and abura-age into 2㎝ lengths strips.
- Put the sake, mirin, soy sauce into the rice cooker and mix. Add the carrot abura-age and hijiki, and cook the rice (Don’t mix).
- When the rice is cooked, mix well.

I love takikomi gohan and want to make either hijiki or asari gohan. When you wrote “2 cups of rice” did you mean 2 cups of American measuring cup or 2 cups of rice cup (little cup that comes with a rice cooker) = 2 “GOU”?
