- ¼ onion
- 80g ground meat
- 3 potatoes
- 2 tbsp milk
- salt and pepper
- vegetable oil for fry
- vegetable oil for deep fry
- flour
- 1 beaten egg
- bread crumbs
- Cut the onion into finely chopped. Boil the potatoes until tender. When its boiled, peel and mash while it’s hot.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion and ground meat until meat becomes crumbles. Add the mashed potatoes and mix well over a low heat. Add the milk and mix until thick. Let stand cool, and when cool, divide into 4-6 portion and oval shape.
- Coat the portion with the flour, beaten egg, bread crumbs in this order.
- Deep fry the croquette into vegetable oil at 175℃ until crispy and light brown color.
- Pour on Japanese style Worcestershire sauce, or any other sauce you like.
Does it make a difference what type of ground meat you use? I would like to try it with turkey, but don’t know if a white meat would make a difference in taste then a red meat. Help!
