Good Morning Everyone. Another beautiful day here in the land of the sun, as the day’s go by I was told by another blogger that I should write a little more then just sharing recipes. I’m not a very good writer, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to write a little more in my post. Today’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is a favorite dish all around Japan, called Yakitori Bowl or 焼き鳥丼 in Japanese. You can find a lot of Yakitori Shop threw out Japan and most times it’s very inexpensive.
- 200g chicken tight
- 1 long green onion
- 1 tbsp sake
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp starch
- 2 portion cooked rice
- ½ spring onion, chopped
- 7 Japanese spice chili
- Cut the chicken into bite size, and long green onion into 3㎝ length pieces. Chicken and long green onion alternately sharp bamboo skewers.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the chicken and long green onion and cook both side over a low heat. Place the sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, and starch into a pot, and bring to the boil, add it to the frying pan. and tossing with chicken.
- Next put the cooked rice in a bowl, put the YAKITORI on the top. Garnish with spring onion and Japanese 7 spice chili your choice
