Hello Everyone. It’s another beautiful day and the kids are back in school from their summer vacation. Today’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is dedicated to my BEST friend “”Masaiyo chan” for the newborn of her first child. Late last night I received an email, just before going to bed from Masaiyo that she gave birth. I was so happy for her, the only thing was sad that her husband couldn’t be there for the birth of their first child. He’s in Sendai building homes for the people who lost them in the quake. Hopeful he will be back this weekend.
- 4 Slice large size Baguette (hardened leftover baguette)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extra
- 200 cc Milk
- 15 g Butter
- Drop the eggs into a large bowl and beat, add the sugar, milk, and vanilla extra and mix well. Soak the baguette in a egg mixture, let stand for about 30 min ( or leave overnight to make the night before in refrigerator)
- Heat the butter in a frying pan, and cook the baguette until golden brown with both side.
- Arrange on a plate, serve with butter or maple syrup your taste.
Congrats to your friend! This french toast sounds great
I love french toast too. Never tried it with a baguetter but by the look of it, it’s delicious. Congratulations to your best friend!
