Today’s Recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is a Delicious Side Dish called Deep-Fried Tofu and Shirona Dipped in Sauce or 油揚げとしろ菜の煮浸し in Japanese. I decided to make this, cause was in the mood to eat Shirona and I found them on sale at the market. Which is very rare for here in Japan, so I got lucky. This is a very delicious dish, that will go well with any meat main dish. I think we had pork chops with this side dish. Enjoy.
Ingredients
  • 1 Bunch Shirona
  • 1 Deep Fried Tofu
  • 250 cc Dashi Stock
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp light color Soy Sauce

Instructions
  1. Wash the shirona and cut into 3㎝ lengths pieces, cut the deep fried tofu in half, and 2㎝ lengths pieces.
  2. Boil the dash stock, add the sake, mirin, and soy sauce. Add the deep fried tofu and shirona, and simmer for 6-7 minute.
