- 8 in long loot root
- 1 bunch of shimeji mushrooms
- 2 pieces of shiitake mushrooms
- 1 tbsp of shoyu sauce
- 2 strips of ham
- ¼ of salt
- ¼ of pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- First we need to peel the lotus root skin off and cut the lotus root into thin slices.
- Now we need to take the shiitake mushroom cut the stem off at the base and cut into thin slices.
- Next we need to cut the ham into slices.
- Now for the cooking part, turn your stove on to a medium heat. Add the lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, and ham to the frying pan. Then add you salt, pepper, and shoyu. Mix and let it cook for about 5 ~ 6 minutes.
- Your done and serve.

This dish looks so different than what i am used to eating but i like trying out new things. What is shoyu? I don’t think i have that and would need to buy that from somewhere….

@Cakewhiz Hello, Shoyu will be Soy Sauce in English. I think you can find this at Asian Market or in the Asian section of your supermarket. It’s a very common used sauce with Japanese Cooking. I hope this answered your question.
@rabbit Hello, yes I used oil and I forgot to add that in the recipe. I used 2 tbsp of olive oil, you can use any type of oil you want with this recipe. When you try this dish let me know how it turned out.
