Japanese Recipe for Chikuwa Tanuki Donburi

Here’s on of my favorite Japanese dishes I love to make and it’s called Chikuwa Tanuki Donburi. Very simple and easy to make. It’s stomach filler for you, trust me. So let’s get started with our Japanese Recipe.
Ingredients
  • 2 chikuwa sticks
  • 1 egg
  • ½ onion
  • 1 tsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp tenkasu (crispy deep-fried dough)
  • ¼ cup of soba sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bowl of cooked rice

Instructions
  1. First we need to cut the onion and chikuwa into thin slices. Then crack your egg in a bowl and scramble it.
  2. Secondly, turn on your stove to a medium heat and add your olive oil to your frying pan. When you pan is nice heated add the onion and chikuwa to the pan and fry for about 3 mins.
  3. Thirdly, add the soba sauce and mix it around. Add the egg to the frying pan and wait about 30 seconds for the egg to cook and then turn the stove off.
  4. Lastly get your bowl of rice for you donburi and add the chikuwa mix from the frying pan over the rice. Then add your garnish of tenkasu and green onion to top it off. Your done.
