- 2 cup glutinous rice
- 35 g red beans “AZUKI”
- water
- salt
- sesame salt(mixed black sesame and salt “FURIKAKE” )
- Wash the red beans well in cold water, boil for 1-2 min and drain. Put 1 cup water in the pot, and bring to the boil over a high heat. When comes to the boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes until tender.
- Drain the beans, and reserving liquid and divide the beans and liquid.
- Wash the glutinous rice 30 min prior to cooking and drain. Add the red beans and mix well with rice. Place the mixed rice and red beans in a rice cooker. Add some water to the liquid used for boiling the red beans make 340 cc. Pour over into the rice cooker, and add the salt, and cook.
- When cooking is finished, keep the covered and let stand for 15 min to settle the grains.
- Transfer to another bowl, and cooling. When the cool at room temperature, serve the rice and sprinkle with sesame salt.
