☆Japanese Breakfast(朝ご飯/和食) ☆

Good Morning Everyone.  The sun has finally come out after 2 days of raining. Now I can get the laundry going.lol  Well, today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is Japanese Breakfast.  I have listed below some of the traditional Japanese Breakfast that I would like to share with you all.  I hope you enjoy it.

★Grilled Salmon fillet(焼鮭)★

Ingredientsgrilled-salmon-rolled-omelet:

☆ 2 fillets lightly salted salmon

☆ 1 sheet , 10㎝ square konb kelp

Direction

1. Place the salmon in a tray and put the konbu kelp on top of the salmon, and let         stand for one night in a refrigerator.

2. In morning, remove thekonbu kelp , place the salmon on cooking grill for fish and grill for about 5-6 min, almost through the heat to salmon, turn over and a grill to other side.

★ Rolled Omelet(卵焼き)★

Ingredients:

☆ 2 eggs

☆ 2 tbsp dashi stock

☆ 1 tsp light soy sauce

☆ 1/3 tsp mirin

☆ vegetable oil

Direction:

1. Drop the egg in a bowl, and beaten lightly, add the dashi stock, say sauce, mirin and mix roughly. Heat a square pan with vegetable oil, and make to rolled omelet.

★ Dressed  Turnip with Yukari-furikake(かぶのゆかり和え)★

Ingredientsturnip-with-yukari-dressing:

☆ 1 turnip

☆  1 pickled prum(ume-boshi), removethe seed of prum, and mince

☆ 1/2 tsp yukari-furikake

Direction:

1. Peel the turnip and cut into 7㎜lengthwise edge cut.

2. Place the turnip in a bowl, add the minced pickled prum, and yukari furikake and mix, and arrange to the dish.

★ Dressed Komatsuna with soy sauce(小松菜のおひたし)★

Ingredientskomatsuna-ohitashi:

☆ 1/2 bunch komatsuna

☆ 1/2 grated ginger

☆ 1 tbsp dashi soy sauce

Direction:

1. Boil the komatsuna and squeeze out if moisture ,cut into 5㎝ lengths pieces.

2. Place 1/2 tbsp dashi soy sauce in a bowl, add the komatsuna and dressing,   squeeze briefly out of moisture again, add the 1/2 tbsp daishi soy sauce and dressing.

3. Arrnge the komatsuna in a plate, and garnish with grated ginger.

★ Miso Soup with Snow peas and Wakame(きぬさやとわかめのみそ汁)★

Ingredientsmiso-soup-snow-peaswakame:

☆ 10 snow peas

☆ 20g wakame- seaweed, reconstituted

☆ 400 cc dashi stock

☆ 1 1/2 tbsp miso

Direction:

1. Cut the wakame seaweed into bite-size, and string the snow peas.

2. Pour the stock into a pot, and bring to the boil over medium heat. Add the snow peas and wakame seaweed, coming to the boil and turn off the heat. Add the miso gradually into the soup, then into individual bowls.
